Nekkid Gloucester!

This post is glossed "nekkid" because although I took many photos, I neglected (DUH!) to bring the connector cable for use in downloading digital pics to my lap top (and thus for posting). So while I briefly want to share how Anne, Greg and I spent our time this Memorial Day Weekend, these posts will be, for the most part, "nekkid," or naked, until we get back home and I have time to download the pics. (Okay--I did attach one image of a map of Chesapeake Bay below to the right!)

On Saturday we spent the morning at an area called the Gloucester County Courthouse, which is in actuality a circular area of land around which a motor vehicle roundabout runs. The area features a number of buildings from the late-1700's, early 1800's which have been maintained for obvious historical purposes. On this particular location in 1776, soldiers were recruited and regimented for service during the American Revolutionary War.

Saturday afternoon was spent on Chesapeake Bay sailing. Despite the fact that there was not much wind, Anne's brother managed to eek enough power through working the sails (and with a slight assist from the motor) to take us around the bay for an enjoyable (if warm) cruise. I've always enjoyed boating... wind in the hair and all that, and fin it an especially relaxing way to spend an afternoon.

I'll share more details when I post pics as the images are much more descriptive than my words. What will we be doing today? Who knows, it is our vacation after all and we (well, I) are content to just roll with it...

Breathe in, breathe out... YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
