Run: 5 miles in :39:36 min. @ 8:45 a.m.

Weather Report: Sunny, 60°F, 81% Humidity, Winds: From SW @ 6 mph; feels like 60°F.

Pace: 8:17 min./per mile avg.

Having neglected to follow my own training plan, which calls for me to take every other day off, to cross train, I went running again this morning, albeit only for five short "ones." It is such a wonderful feeling to go flying (sort of, anyway) down the streets and sidewalks of downtown River City!

The last ten days have seen our city streets filled with jazz enthusiasts during our city's international jazz festival. While Ann e and I haven't been to any of the performances (apparently my daughter went to see some Russian teen piano sensation...) I did run through and around a few of the stages which had been set up for this closing weekends series of free concerts. Cleaning folks were out picking up cups and paper waste from last nights' performances, and one fellow road by me on his bicycle offered his support with a friendly, "Keep it up!"

Breathe in, breathe out... YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
