Up to this point, rather than "logging" my training with Annie as part of my cumulative training mileage, I had been documenting the workouts as part of a larger warm-up. Now that Anne and I have progressed to the point where we are running for at least twenty-four consecutive minutes every other day, I will begin moving these training runs into my own personal, more officious training miles.
The weather here in River City has fortunately taken a turn for the cooler, the only downside being that the quick switch has resulted in an achiness in my legs, which will be short-lived, I hope. When I participate in this weekend's 9 mile trail race the weather conditions should be near perfect.
I have a "sick day" tomorrow for a few appointments that coud not be made during school hours. I'm going to use some of the time I spend in waiting rooms working on some more concrete training/diet plans for implementation this summer. As I cruise through the many well-written running blogs and talk with colleagues who run I'm noticing that people have been much more disciplined than I in addressing training needs, a situation I'd like to change.
Breathe in, breathe out... YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
