Like all mere mortals, these two dynamics have been a challenge for me as I strive to maintain a level of discipline in my eating. While I am NOT above rewarding myself, I know myself well enough to know that (on occasion) I go overboard with self-congratulatory rewards… do the words Karamel Sutra ring a bell, anyone?
I have resisted the urge, during this summer of global warming, to consume Ben & Jerry’s superfantabulous ice cream because I knew it would be hard to stop. Oh, I’ve taken liberties with some local ice cream step-sisters, but have kept away from the my prom queen…But, fear not, just as the doggiest of dog days begin, I have a new favorite… let me briefly introduce you to Ben & Jerry’s Berried Treasure Sorbet. Ah-h-h-h… the sweet lemony flavor… m-m-m-m-m, black and blue berry-goodness! And best of all? Mucho less calories!
I will always love you, my dear Karamel Sutra, and will occasionally return to your caramel-core-y kisses, but… I now have a new favorite!
Breathe in, breathe out... YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!

Hi Castaway. I have tagged you for a meme because I like reading your blog. The instructions will be on my personal blog, http://gardengnomesjourney.blogspot.com later today. I look forward to reading your meme!
Man - they have itty bitty cartons at the store for a buck each - way too tempting to try out every flavor! LOL!
Well, apparently we have more in common than just being a couple of guys past 30 (in my case waaay past 30) who go our for a run. You and I are both fools for Ben and Jerry's, though my flavor is strawberry cheesecake. Good stuff.
I'll tell you something else too. If I am going to eat ice cream, you darn well better believe it is going to be Ben and Jerry's and not Walmart.
g-gnome... ill chcek on it ;)
kshippychic... i know what you mean--i know enough not to work where my cravings would get the best of me--i once had a frined who wrestled in highschool, got a job at a pizza shop one summer and came back having to move up three weigth classes!
steve... i would eat just about any b&j flavor... the discount ice cream i am given is mostly at my in-laws from a company called "turkey hill"... i have a hidden fear joke that their "secret ingrediant" is just a touch of turkey...BLECHHH! of course if i pour enough hershey's ontop it's all good!
