Low Prices, High Dharma Value!

"If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion."~His Holiness the Dalai Lama
Sometimes one can come across folks in an environment in which the familiar seems out of place. A great example is when a child sees their teacher in the supermarket and announces with surprise "I didn't know you shopped!"

I had one of those moments two days ago while shopping with my son. As we were walking through Target looking fro some gifts, I saw someone peering from the book rack whom I did not expect to see, at east not, in all places, Target! Setting between a variety of self-help, diet, and "secret" tomes was a book I had read earlier this Fall, How to Practice: The Way to a Meaningful Life
by His Holiness, the Dalai Lama!

While the placement of the book, to some, may seem unfortunate (as it is much more than a self help manual), it was great to see it nonetheless receive such a prominent spot on the shelves of one of the largest "big box" stores.

Can this mean that things (such as they are here in the US of A) are changing? Probably not as drastically as is necessary, but maybe our karmic energy is moving in a more compassionate direction by virtue of the fact that the big boxes see money to be made by offering such books to the consumer...

Embrassez votre été invincible!
