Weather: Partly Cloudy, 28°F, 84% Humidity, Wind: CALM; feels like 28°F.Course: Using the Erie Canal Distance Chart to gauge the distance from location to locations, I ran from State Street, Pittsford, east to Marsh Road, Perinton (2.59 each way).
Pace: 7:20 min./per mile
A frosty early morning run... though it may be seen as wasteful, I prefer of late driving my car to Schoen Place in Pittsford, to access the Erie Canal. From there, by going East, the trailway changes from being a nicely paved path, to a small stone, dirt (and well-maintained) trail. Whether in actuality, or just as a result of my own perception, running on this part of the canal trail feels much easier on my knees and the time goes by quickly.
It is also enjoyable to be sent off on my run, as well as being met upon my return, by the mallards (pictured above).
Breathe in, breathe out… YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!

I think it is really cool that you can take a minute to snap some pictures during your running. I love ducks! :)
