Run: 2.3 miles in :18:03 min. @ 7:10 p.m.

Weather: Cloudy, 22°F, 74% Humidity, Wind: From SW @ 6 mph; feels like 15°F.
Course: A quick jaunt through the streets and avenues in my neighborhood... up and down up and down and finally home.
Pace: 8:03 min./per mile

Although I didn't want to (it feels so-o-o cold out!) I went out for a run this evening as scheduled. Believe it or not, I am still "officially" during fairly low-to-moderate mileage during the week, while most longer distances are scheduled for back-to-back weekend runs.

In fact, this evening's run may be the shortest individual training run I have ever run; a product of my lack of motivation, and even stronger desire to at the very least get out and mark it down as done. In many ways on lower-water days like this, I become the ultimate "junk miler," one who runs with no other intent but too simply punch the training log “clock”.

One nice thing that did come out of the run was that I did feel the accomplishment of having gone out when I desired (greatly) not to. Tomorrow is another day, one which is intended to be a recovery day, but I just might sneak out early in the morning for another short (quicker) run…

Breathe in, breathe out… YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
