Run: 4.2 miles in :31:30 min. @ 4:00 p.m.

Weather: Dreary, 36°F, 75% Humidity, Wind: From ESE @ 12 mph; feels like 36°F.
Course: Around.
Pace: 7:30 min./per mile

I fairly ugly day out with few sites to see: grey-black snow chunks of ice dropped (see repulsing pic above) from the undercarriages of gas guzzlers, an uneveven layer of slush and water along the sidewalks. Firtunately the more often traveled roads were clear--but then again, they are "often traveled" which means that the traffic made for a rather dangerous run given some roads have very narrow shoulders.

Though my nose was still stuffy when I set out, the air and breathing helped to clear my nasal passages and eventually I felt some fitness returning. Once gain, I set out to run only two miles (to stretch out my recently hibernating legs), but I lost myself in the run and doubled the distance.

Huzzah, for being back on the roads... at least for this late-afternoon!

Breathe in, breathe out… YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
