Though my "head-cold" still lingered this evening, Anne and I made our way to the YMCA. I brought my scheduled work out neatly organized on a salmon-colored post-it not so I could check off each distance as I finished them. After completing a set of 1200m runs and a single 800m run, my left hip began aching deep in the joint. I've had the occasional hip ache before and so made the mental note to do more hip-opening stretches prior to running next time. I also figured that I could probably "run through it."
It was not meant to be this evening, however, so after wrapping up a second 800m, I cooled down and called it "a work out." Despite coming up a little short, I was proud to have made it to the treadmill while not feeling to-notch.
