Anne has been in the hospital for four days now and hopefully will be released tomorrow. This morning I planned on going for a run early on so that I could stop by and see her before setting off for an afternoon of high school cross-country races. The rain has not let up at all since it began this morning and though I generally enjoy running in "the elements" there is something about a soaked sweatshirt and running shoes that I somehow don't find appealing today.
Nonetheless, I head out into the dark for long, slow run... and accepting it, am reminded that it is not so bad...
