Kaw-Kawww-Kanal Run!

Run: 6.5 miles in :52:57 min. @ 1:20 p.m.
Weather: Cloudy, 24°F, 58% Humidity, Wind: From E @ 1 mph; feels like 24°F.
Pace: 8:09 min./per mile
Course: East on the Erie Canal Trail starting at Clinton Avenue toward Clover Street and back. The distance was determined by using the Erie Canal Running Distances Chart available on the Greater Rochester Track Club website.

After having a snack, my dietary guilt finally gets the best of me and I decide to go for a run... one on the Erie Canal, an old training friend I have not been to visit in a few months.

Following my run, I would definitely attribute the slowish pace to the ground conditions. Especially in the section from Clinton to Winton during which the path is in city limits, it was covered with ice and required quite a bit of high and side stepping to avoid falling. The section of trail in the "suburban" portion was much more well worn and required slightly less concentration to stay on course.

All in all, it was great to once again be guided by the sparrows and crows which populated the naked trees and bushes along the trail...

Embrassez votre été invincible!
