Today is his fourteenth birthday.
... or, rather, to my son Jack who is fourteen years-old today. He is both the "thing" I am most proud of and also of which I am most concerned that I am doing the best I can by him.
The other evening we watched the second Austin Powers movie, the one in which Mini-Me, Dr. Evils miniaturized clone, is introduced. We (Anne, Greg, Jack and I) laughed quite a bit at their antics throughout the film. My son, as are your children--if you have them, are much more than "clones" and sometimes it is not what you do see of yourself in them, but that which you don't that makes you love and appreciate them more them more...
