Yesterday was a scheduled rest day and though I almost went off script and went out for a run anyway, I did eventually err on the side of caution (and discipline), deciding that it was more prudent in the long run to focus my energies elsewhere and adhere to the plan as written. This seemed to have contributed to a slight improvement over the previous day's workout. This morning's cumulative "workout," a walk-run-walk, covered 4.4 miles in almost 49 minutes with a pace of 11:05 per mile. The running portion of the workout was a reasonably paced 2.6 miles in twenty minutes, a pace of 7:38 per mile.
