Welcoming Back Ubiquitous Birds

Good to see my steady friends back for Spring--which should arrive eventually (2/26/13, Rochester, NY).
After a long, relatively quiet winter that is very likely far from over, it was refreshing to hear (or at least take the opportunity to notice) the pleasant call and response "cheerily, cheer up, cheer up, cheerily, cheer up" of two American Robins this morning as I went to my car. Sitting in the gingko tree in the strip between ours and our neighbor's home, the two chattered away for nearly ten minutes.

Due to the paler coloring, I would surmise this is the female of the pair (2/26/13, Rochester, NY).
Loud, proud, and authoritarian: what's not to like about listening to Robins? (2/26/13, Rochester, NY)
