Run: 2.3 miles in :26:00 mins. @ 6:30 p.m.

Weather: Partly Sunny, 78°F, 35% Humidity, Winds: WSW @ 18 mph; feels like 77°F.

Pace: 11:18 min./per mile avg.

This evening before dinner I took a break from my "Day Off" from running to accompany Anne and Gregory on a training run along the Erie Canal bike trail. I had suggested it as an option last evening when Anne had expressed that she had desired a that a little variety in running venue might make the time running pass more easily.

Judging from the brisk pace we maintained during our run, the change seems to have done us both some good! We began at Lock 32 (pictured above) and continued East to Lock 33, and then back. The weather was excellent, the only slight drawback the potential for running for reasonably long stretches in direct, intense sunlight, especially on the return trip. Anne and I (Greg had run ahead) were able of moving among the shade created by the trees and bushes along the path to avoid the heated angle of the setting sun...

Breathe in, breathe out... YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
