Run: 9.3 miles in 1:11:19 min. @ 8:30 a.m.

Weather: Partly Sunny, 70°F, 44% Humidity, Winds: N @ 7 mph; feels like 70°F.

Pace: 7:40 min./per mile avg.

A beautiful morning for a hybrid run; two-thirds on the roads and streets, and the middle third run on the Genesee Riverway. I ran from my home into the city, entering the trail way going south. I exited via an access path just after passing the University of Rochester campus, and headed home.

In an unusual (for me) turn of events, once I had jogged about three blocks from home I realized that I had (in my haste, I suppose, to leave) forgotten to put on my Cho-Pat knee braces. Despite recognizing this, I decide to forge ahead without them, thereby throwing caution to the wind... now, four hours later, my knees feel no worse for the wear, though if I were to stop wearing them, it would likely be only during races...

Breathe in, breathe out... YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
