For me, today started with a good ol' fashioned butt kicking...
After two cups of joe, and admittedly feeling pretty proud of myself, I popped in yet another yoga VHS (yup, I have few!); a tape I don't recall having followed all that frequently. After nine minutes of the twenty minute session, I remembered why that had been the case--IT WAS WAY TOUGH! Living Yoga's Power Strength Yoga for Beginners with Rodney Yee. I'm ashamed to admit that I had to stop half way through as I found the speed of transitions from pose to pose to challenging to make the experience meaningful.
The workout kicked my butt, and it was just what I needed, though not an experience I would want to duplicate... it reinforced my need to continue working on building my arm and shoulder strength.
Breathe in, breathe out... YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
