Run: 10.1 miles in 1:15:28 @ 6:10 a.m

Weather: Clear, 56°F, 86% Humidity, Wind: From SW @ 7 mph; feels like 56°F.
Training Plan Suggested Mileage: 10 miles
Average Mile Page: 7:28 min./mi.
Course: Kaz2way's 10 Miler.

Though yesterday was scheduled to be a rest day, I ran an easy four miles with my stepson. Today, however, I was planned to run ten, which is exactly what I did. If I continue to follow through on tomorrow's six, I will be well on my way to transitioning from the very early weeks of a FIRST marathon training plan (utilizing three weekly key runs--1 speed work, 1 mid-tempo and 1 LSD) to a more "traditional" ultra-training (an oxymoron?) plan employing five weekly runs of progressively increasing distances.

This weekend represents my return (of sorts) to the back-to-back runs which I have been avoiding since completing a 50k last Fall, but are very necessary to preparing my body for the rigors of 27+ mile runs.

Breathe in, breathe out… YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
