Early morning run through rain and past the site of today's McQuaid Invitational Cross Country Race. The first race goes off at 8:50 a.m., but my son and daughter, as well as a few former students, won't be running with their respective schools until much later in the day. I went through Genesee Valley Park at about 8:00 a.m. and there was already quiet a it of activity... it's awesome to see so many people from so far away as Ontario, Canada, and southern Pennsylvania, coming to run along side the young members if our running community.

Even with a little precipitation in the forecast for this morning/afternoon, I am looking forward to an afternoon of watching the drama of great runners running well, as well as big-hearted student athletes pushing through "it", unfold...

Breathe in, breathe out… YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
