Although I didn't make it to the race today, I did get in a good 10-miler. Just what the doctor ordered... a trip into Agamotto Time!

As a youth (okay, maybe I still sneak a peak once and a while), I enjoyed reading comic books. As I was running this morning, I hit the meditative portion of the program, a time during which eveything around me seems to stand still while my body continues moving. It is almost like I am outside my body observing. The whole universe seems to freeze... as I was floating and running it occurred to me that this was very much an Agamotto Moment.

The Eye of Agamotto was (is?) a mystical amulet used by the "superhero" Dr. Strange. With it, Dr. Stephen Strange could meditate in such a way that he could take on an astral form, leaving his body to travel around the world communicating to others.

While running today I felt a keen sense of being in the moment... sun shining, breathe freezing into crytals with each exhale, legs stretching through the air with each stride...

Breathe in, breathe out... YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
