Run: 7.4 miles in :62:00 min. @ 8:30 a.m.

Weather Report: Cloudy then Light Snow, 36°F, 73% Humidity, Winds: From NW @ 13 mph; feels like 27°F.

Pace--Approx. :08:38 per mile

I rolled out of bed and immediately into my running gear this morning with mixed results. The route I followed was a little different than usual, mixing in elements in reverse of the different roads I tend to frequent. True to my recent early morning weekend runs, I found myself once again moving through the streets of downtown River City, past coffee shops, new housing developments, and plexi-glassed bus stops.

There were some moments of muscle joy during which my knees felt great, but these were balance off by painful interludes where I felt as if my knees were rubbing bone on bone. It's hard to know what is real pain and what is my imagined frustration... all I know for sure is when I did have my knee "scoped" and MRI'd in the spring all the information came back negative or that "there is no structural damage."

At any rate, coming down the last half mile of my run, I was pleased to feel small snow crystals landing on my face... I am looking forward to some snowfall this year and the interesting training permutations that can come along with it.

Embrassez votre été invincible!
