The Training Week That Was... 12/10-16

A much more productive training week... and here's the proof:
Legend: R = Running, SB = Stationary Bicycling, and I've also noted increases (+x) or decreases (-x) from the previous week)

Sunday: R 2.5 miles
Monday: SB 15 min. & R: 7.25 miles
Tuesday: SB 15 min.
Wednesday: R 7 miles
Thursday: Day Off
Friday: R 6.75 miles
Saturday: R 11 miles
TOTALS--R 27.25 19.7 (+ 7.55 miles), SB: 30 min. (+15 minutes)
I didn't participate in any "races" this week, while I did do some social running--an approach which was new-ish for me. I am not registered to run in an organized race again for another week, and as a result, have enjoyed focusing on my training and reconsidering my general running paradigm (racing or running?).

The weather has been incredibly warm for December in my little part of the world which, while nice for running (at least those who like warm weather running), has me once again considering the very real possibility that the two snowshoe races I have signed up for in just a few short weeks may be turning into trail runs. This happened last year, so I still have two brand spanking new pairs of snowshoes (one for recreational hiking and one for racing) which I have not even been able to strap on yet. Here's to hoping for enough snow to 1) practice at least once in advance of 2) there being enough snow to compete...

Embrassez votre été invincible!
