A "Winter Storm Warning" is in effect for my area of the world until 7:00 p.m. this afternoon. The conditions this morning are very reminiscent of what was happening, meteorologically speaking, yesterday morning. On the surface, it would appear that the key (insignificant) difference, not reported this morning on the radio, from yesterday, is that I'm using a different coffee cup to fuel myself up for a short run.

KRUNCH-KRUNCH-KRUNCH-KRUNCH-KRUNCH

Just a block out of the gates, and I had the clear understanding that the weather was just a tad more intense today... and I LOVED it! Running a slightly truncated course, at a pace that would allow me to be more careful with each foot-strike, I managed to pull together five well managed miles. There is definitely something more sensually intense about running in the ice-rain-cold as it requires a greater degree of concentration, much like the difference between trail running and road racing...while both can be physically exhausting, the trail/weather experience is one I've personally found to be more mentally taxing, and therefore, often more satisfying.

Adio, wli nanawalmezi.
