It looks like the weather prognosticators may have gotten it right this weekend. After a very balmy winter, thus far, local television and radio weather folk have been clamoring the last few days, beating the "winter storm warning" drum. As I sit here this morning on my couch, after two cups o' joe, typing this post before stepping out for a brief run, I can hear the light rain and ice landing among the branches and bushes outside. This is how "they" said it would begin...

I missed yesterday's Freezeroo race (after seeing the snow and rain in the pictures, I can now say "regrettably missed"), the first Freezeroo to actually look like a Freeze-roo, with snow and all, so I was very much looking forward to taking a short "run in the frozen rain this morning.

Upon returning home, I felt confident about the quality of my run, and as is often the case, aerobically, felt like I could run all day... my legs, however, were another matter. The cold weather does agree with my legs, though, as the cold somehow masks the discomfort, or lessens it, anyways. Coming home and punching the numbers into the calculator, the overall pace of the run was slower than I had hoped, but I won't complain after such a great jaunt.

Adio, wli nanawalmezi.
