The Training Week That Was... 1/28-2/3

Believe it, or not, it's already February--which can only mean America's favorite rodent has made his forecast for the upcoming weather. First, here's what went down this past week with my training, a period of seven days during which I did see my own shadow... at least once or twice!
Legend: R = Running, R(T) = Running on Treadmill, SB = Stationary Bicycling, and I've also noted increases (+x) or decreases (-x) from the previous week)

Sunday: R (Snowshoes) 2 miles & SB 30 min.
Monday: R 8 miles
Tuesday: R 5 miles
Wednesday: R 3.5 miles
Thursday: Off Day 1
Friday: Off Day 2
Saturday: R 8.5 miles

TOTALS--R 27 miles (+10.8 miles), SB: 30 min. (-55 min.)
I only participated in one race this week, the Lake Effect Snowshoe Festival, which ended up being a two mile "fun run", because yours truly "downgraded" it mid-run the originally registered for four-miler. Initially, I had planned to also participate in today's Cast a Shadow 6 Hour Snowshoe Relay, but thought better of it when I saw the day of sign-up fee ($50) and realized that I was already prepped for the hotel and registration for next Sunday's Last Chance Marathon in Dublin, Ohio.

The great news is that Punxsutawney Phil says "Expect and early Spring!" Hopefully this means fair weather for our drive and race next weekend.

Adio, wli nanawalmezi.
