Tomorrow morning Greg and I will be running the Kyle's Run for Memory 5k, the first of fourteen (!) races which are part of the Rochester Fleet Feet 2007 Gran Prix Series. When I was a kid and thought of being in a "gran prix" (ooh-la-la) I somehow envisioned France, but River City, New York, will do nicely, thank you!

It will be Gregory's first 5k ever and my first race since the Last Chance for Boston debacle on February 10. While running this afternoon I couldn't help but feel like a boxer who's been punched and kicked during too many rounds, yet still fights on... two and half miles never seemed so long and I never felt so slow. But, enough complaining... it's just good to have the chance to run, despite aches and pains... and away we go!

Breathe in, breathe out... YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
