Run: 3.8 miles in :30:03 @ 4:30 p.m.

Weather Report: Fair, 88°F, 32% Humidity, Winds: From WSW @ 5 mph; feels like 86°F.

Pace: 8:00 min./per mile avg.

Either it is WAY too hot or I am much too heavy, because today I felt like I was running in wet cement with a gorilla on my back. I had intended to go for 5-6 miles before my son's baseball game, but once about two miles from home, I knew I was not long for this run. Additionally, I had the Robo-Cop legs on: a Cho-Pat double strap on each leg, so each running gait looked and felt like rusty hinges closing and opening... graceful and fluid I was not!

I made the call at 2.5 miles to head for home, with imaginative hopes of running a second time this evening, which, by the time I made it home, had transformed into the more realistic expectation that I might get up early tomorrow morning for a run before work.

Breathe in, breathe out... YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
