"Esrever" Day

"So much time and so little to do. Wait a minute. Strike that. Reverse it."~Willy Wonka
Run: 9.4 miles in 1:10:20 min. @ 7:00 a.m.

Weather: Mostly Cloudy, 71°F, 75% Humidity, Winds: SSW @ 7 mph; feels like 71°F.

Pace: 7:29 min./per mile avg.

Just as I occasionally vary my pace during a single run in an effort to challenge myself and keep fresh what might otherwise be a boring workout, every once in a blue moon it doesn’t hurt to switch up your routes…

I set out this morning with the intention of making my direction decisions in a sort of “backwards day” state of mind. Whereas I almost always turn right when I leave my street for a run, today I turned left. When I do run on Westfall Road I generally go down the large hill. This morning a made the conscious choice to go uphill.

Taking the early morning scenery in reverse order certainly helped to freshen what might otherwise be a stale run, and a distance that could have seemed long felt surprisingly brief--so much "run" in what seemed such a short time!

Breathe in, breathe out... YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
