Pace: 7:55 min./per mile
Initially I had planned on going about eight miles this morning, but after reviewing yesterday's run of 4.5 miles, I thought it might be foolish to nearly double my mileage so soon after my current "return." I am planning on participating in the second of our local "Freezeroo" series runs on January 1, though at a distance of 7.5 miles, it may be my initial foray into the area of 7+ mile runs in quite some time.
The short term plan is to run another short-distance, slow paced run tomorrow and take Monday as a "Recovery Day." As I previously mentioned, my goal going into the run is to finish strong, run lightly, thereby continuing to establish a solid physical and psychological foundation on which to build.
