Run: 4.8 miles in :38:00 min. @ 11:30 a.m.

Weather: Dreary, 25°F, 60% Humidity, Wind: From SSW @ 9 mph; feels like 25°F.
Course: A short course which took me down Highland and Monroe Avenues, including a loop up around the Cobbs Hill Reservoir.
Pace: 7:55 min./per mile

I woke up early this morning with the intention of running before the sun came up, but did not actually step outside to do so until nearly noon. It was one of those mornings where I wasted time and it slipped away... until I got back on track.

I walked for a few minutes prior to slowly picking up my pace (such as it was) in an effort to loosen my legs and joints and possibly minimize the discomfort in my legs as I ran. No such luck. I maintained a very moderate pace throughout, which was a necessary strategy given the slushy footing offered by the melting snow and ice.

It would appear as though my taking a break did not create the more favorable feeling in my legs I had hoped to achieve. Following today's run, I continue to have aches and pains in both my legs, but remain resolute in my continuing effort to find a way to train with less discomfort.

Embrassez votre été invincible!
