Rodney Yee's Meditation & Yoga contains five sessions intended to prepare and guide the viewer through poses which can aid in meditation practice. While some of the sessions contain poses which are much more ambitious than my stiff body will permit, there are two which I come back to frequently, especially given their brevity and relaxing nature.Much of the "yoga" tapes in current rotation includes a frequent return to either Yee's "Mountain" series of poses, a quiet series of flowing postures to warm the body, free the breath, and calm the mind; or the "Garden" series, a gentle exercises involving a chair, to stretch the back and hips.
After preceding my sitting the past two morning's with this series of poses, I certainly am glad to have found that my "old" frined has a "new" DVD-lease on life.
Breathe in, breathe out… YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
