The Training Week That Was... 3/8-3/15

Me (in the green running shirt, natch!) at approximately the 3.5 mile point
of Saturday's Johnny's Runnin' of the Green 5 mile race.

The final results for yesterday's Johnny's Runnin' of the Green (5 miles), were posted late last evening, and while I failed to post a PR in the distance, I did perform much better than I had figured to. I finished the race in a time of :31:54 (a pace of 6:23/m), which earned me a 103rd place position from among a total of 1450 finishers. In my "age group," Men 35-39, I came in 8th out of 106. All-in-all, a fine performance and a grand way to begin the "racing season.".

I also did a competent job staying my training plan this past week. Here is what went down:
Legend: R = Running, B = Stationary Bicycle

Monday: Rest
Tuesday: Key Run #1 5.7 miles
Wednesday & Thursday: Rest
Friday: Key Run #2 5.8 miles
Saturday: Key Run #3a 10 miles
Sunday: Key Run #3b 11 miles

TOTAL MILEAGE: R 32.5 (+3.4 miles from the previous week)
Weigh-In*: 190.5lbs. (+1 lb. from the previous week) [* @ 5:30 a.m. on 3/16/09]
There are races on my calendar for next weekend, so my personal goals continues to be to stay on target with mileage and pace, as well as, endeavoring to eat more mindfully (and healthily, too!).

Breathe in, breathe out... YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
