Plan: 5 minute walk, 10 minute jog, 5 min. walk, 5 min. jog, 5 min. walk (Total projected time--30 min.)
Actual: 5 minute walk, 10 minute jog, 5 min. walk, 6 min. jog, 14 min. walk (Actual time--0:40.56 min.)
Cumulative Pace: 0:11.12
Weather: Clear, 53°F, 89% Humidity, Winds: Calm; feels like 53°F.
The original plan had me going for an accumulated time of 30 minutes, a target which I overshot by adding 1 minute to that second "run," and 7 minutes to the cool down walk. Both are the result of my inability to set myself in such a way that things start and end at the right place--and that is a-okay with me :) I was, however, a little disappointed with my cumulative pace, but also recognize the number is skewed slightly because I did cool down longer than expected. All in all, I felt great actually sustaining a run for 10 minutes and 6 minutes and feel a little closer to getting more fully back into the swing of things.
FYI--I also did walk yesterday morning, but as I was busy preparing for a last minute lesson adjustment prior to leaving for class at 7:00 am, did not not get the chance to post about it (either here or on Dailymile). Thursday I had intended to once again go the walk-run-walk route but a hinky knee convinced me to simply walk a quick 2.3 instead, a choice I had hoped would permit me to more comfortably follow-up Friday (today) with the workout above.
